BRITNEY IN JAPAN

Here are a few photos of Britney Spears during her trip to Japan. Looks like she's able to do some sight seeing while she's there and in peace because she didn't have the usual paparazzi up her butt. Hope she enjoys her trip.

BRITNEY'S NEW FRAGRANCE HIDDEN FANTASY

Britney Spears will launch Hidden Fantasy, the latest flanker to 2005's Fantasy fragrance for women, in January 2009. The tag line is "What do you have to hide?", and the new fragrance is described as "a seductive scent that is all about expressing the many mysterious sides of a woman".

Hidden Fantasy was developed by perfumer Rodrigo-Flores Roux, who also worked on With Love Hilary Duff. The scent was "inspired by the singer's love of white florals, vanilla and luscious desserts", and the notes include sweet orange, tangerine, grapefruit blossom, verbena, jasmine, stargazer lily, sweet Napolitano cake, vanilla bean, jacaranda wood, fluid sandalwood and amber.

Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, in a cherry red bottle with pink crystals "symbolizing love, femininity and warmth".

BRITNEY HAS THE HIGHEST DEBUTING SONG OF HER CAREER

This was something that didn't amaze me because I knew this album was filled of explosive hit songs. Britney now has the highest debuting song of her career thanks to the #3 bow of "Circus" on The Billboard Hot 100. This latest single wrests the title form Spears first chart entry "...Baby One More Time", which opened at #17 the week of Nov. 21, 1998. Those doing the math have already figured out that with “Circus” in town, Spears’ chart span expands to 10 years and one month.

In its first week on the tally, “Circus” is tied with the 2007 hit “Gimme More” as the second-highest charting title of Spears’ career. The only singles to peak higher are the above-mentioned “…Baby One More Time” and the current “Womanizer,” which both spent time at the summit. “Womanizer” dips 9-10 this week, giving Spears two simultaneous top 10 singles for the first time. On The Billboard 200, the parent album “Circus” debuts at No. 1, the fifth Spears album to do so. The quintet of chart-topping Spears’ albums are:

“…Baby One More Time,” six weeks (1999)
“Ooops!…I Did It Again,” one week (2000)
“Britney,” one week (2001)
“In the Zone,” one week (2003)
“Circus,” one week to date (2008)

“In the Zone” debuted and peaked at No. 1 the week of Dec. 6, 2003, so “Circus” is Spears’ first set to go all the way in five years. “…Baby One More Time” made its debut the week of Jan. 30, 1999, expanding Spears’ album chart span to one month shy of 10 years. On the U.K. album chart, “Circus” enters at No. 4, but there’s still a “Circus” on top. The resurgent boy band Take That debuts at No. 1 with “The Circus”.

BRITNEY CIRCUS DEBUTS ATOP ALBUM CHART

As expected, Britney Spears' "Circus" makes a big bow at the top of The Billboard 200, becoming her fifth No. 1. The Jive set moved 505,000 copies in the United States, making Spears the only act in Nielsen SoundScan history to have four albums debut with 500,000 or more.

Since SoundScan began tracking data in 1991, only four acts -- aside from Spears -- have notched three 500,000-starts: 2Pac, 50 Cent, Garth Brooks and Jay-Z.
Previously, her second, third and fourth sets all racked up half-million weeks: 2000's "Oops! I Did It Again" started with 1.3 million, 2001's "Britney" debuted with 746,000 and 2003's "In the Zone" entered the chart with 609,000. Among female artists, only four have earned more No. 1 albums: Barbra Streisand (eight), Madonna (seven) and Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson (both with six).

On the Billboard Hot 100 to be released tomorrow, Spears scores her first top 10 debut as the set's title cut debuts at No. 3. The song, which she performed live on ABC's "Good Morning America" the day "Circus" hit retail, opens at No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs with 212,000 downloads. With her former No. 1 single "Womanizer" at No. 10 on the Hot 100, Spears places two tracks simultaneously in that chart's top 10 for the first time in her career.

BRITNEY SPEARS CIRCUS ALBUM BEST IN 5 YEARS

Like nobody already knew this, but Britneys' manager Larry Rudolph talked to ET saying that her Circus album may have just started as an experiment, but it has completely grown as a great album that fans have embraced to put the pop star back on top of the charts. When it comes to the Circus single, Larry says “I believe that that’s the best song she has had in the past five years,” later adding “There are songs that you hear that just slap you across the face and that’s what ‘Circus’ is. It is an undeniable smash.”
