BRITNEY BRINGS TOUR TO AUSTRALIA

For the first time in her career Britney Spears will be touring Australia. Britney Spears in association with Dainty Consolidated Entertainment brings "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" Down Under in November.

"The Circus Starring Britney Spears" is a first of it's kind, incorporating a dazzling display of music, dance, magic and theatrics into the years biggest spectacle. With its cast of nearly 50 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats and a traveling staff of over 200, the 50 million dollar extravaganza will travel Australia with an unprecedented 60 tons of equipment in 34 trucks for what is sure to be the most electrifying musical event ever.

"The Circus Starring Britney Spears" kicked-off in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on March 3, 2009, and is the highest grossing tour of 2009 in North America to date. Britney is currently touring Europe to raves reviews. "The Circus starring Britney Spears, the relentlessly high octane and superbly choreographed affair delighted 23,000 assembled fans" claims the UK's Daily Mail, and The Financial Times stating "...with costume changes, a mini-magic show and blingy bicycles, the presentation was a feast for the eyes."

BRITNEY SPENDS €30K ON DUBLIN HOTELS

Pop princess Britney Spears has booked out two presidential suites in separate hotels for her visit to Dublin, running up a whopping bill of €29,600. The star has reserved the Four Seasons plush penthouse for eight nights and has also taken over the exclusive suite in the Morrison Hotel. It's believed that Britney (27) chooses to book out rooms for a few nights before she travels, so that her assistants can make sure that everything is perfect. The €2,500-a-night Four Seasons penthouse has three bedrooms, a living room, dining area and large bathroom.

Breakdown

The exclusive suite at the Morrison, which costs €1,200 a night, was designed by John Rocha and includes a dining area for eight guests. The mother of two is playing two shows at the O2 next month as part of her comeback Circus tour, following her well-publicized breakdown Tickets for the shows on June 19 and 20 were snapped up within hours of going on sale last month.

Britney Spears just added a third performance at Bercy in Paris to her European Circus tour! The new show will take place on Saturday, July 4th and tickets go on sale on Friday, May 15th. More information on tickets can be found here.

Tickets sale start Thursday, April 30, "privileged tickets" for the places close to the central podium go on sale Wednesday, April 29.

BRITNEY'S CIRCUS COMING TO DUBLIN?

Pop princess Britney Spears is set to confirm she'll be playing two monster dates here.

The Herald can exclusively reveal that final negotiations are under way in a bid to bring the star to Dublin this summer for several huge gigs in the RDS.

The controversial Womanizer star has been taking her native America by storm as she performs a string of 49 smash-hit dates as part of her Circus comeback tour.

Now it's widely speculated that she'll shortly add some Irish dates to the end of her British tour, which takes in eight shows this June. "It's more a case of when and not if," said an insider. "She'll be playing a load of dates in London's O2 in June so the general belief is that she'll also be adding two Irish performances to her tour.

"Her management team know they'll have no problem selling tickets for her show in Ireland as she's so popular over here, so it's a bit of a no-brainer. She performed at the RDS the last time and she thought it was an amazing venue and suited her kind of show perfectly."

Lawyers for the pop singer recently discussed expanding her tour to perform in Australia and play extra dates in Europe during a court hearing in the US. She's now expected to get the go-ahead to head down-under for a month and play in cities including Melbourne and Sydney as she continues to re-ignite her pop career.

The mum-of-two has rarely been out of the headlines for the past three years after she suffered a very public meltdown, culminating in hospital treatment.

Britney (27) also lost full custody of her two young sons with former husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston and Jayden James, as a result of her personal problems. But now she's been hailed for making such an impressive comeback, with fans giving her standing ovations at many of her raunchy shows.

However, if Irish pop fans are hoping to see her perform on home soil in a few months time, they better start saving up their cents now if the English prices are anything to go by.

Basic ticket prices for her London dates, which start on June 6, start at £49 (E55) but go up to a whopping £1,300 for two VIP passes. For those who fancy forking out for the privilege, this gets you a backstage tour and 'ringside seats'.

As well as getting a birds-eye view of Britney's performance, you'll also get VIP parking, finger buffet and drinks and various gifts and goodies.
