BRITNEY AT THE PENINSULA

Britney was spotted at the Peninsula Hotel earlier this afternoon with her boys Sean Preston & Jayden James for a quick getaway. Dressed in a red turtle neck and jeans, Britney (who looked visibly annoyed / upset) was chauffeured to the hotel briefly, then left soon after. After a few days of being M.I.A., she wasn't too pleased to see the paparazzi.

BRITNEY SPEARS LANDS SAFELY IN LAX

Following a weeklong trip overseas, Britney Spears was spotted arriving back at LAX Airport in Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday (December 17). Looking calm and collected, the “Gimme More” singer made her way past security and lined-up paparazzi as she headed out to an awaiting car before heading home. Britney said that she had a lovely time as she promoted her new album “Circus” in Japan, as he wrote on her Web site, “I Love Japan! I think all the tiny cars are so cute!” Spears’ main reason for the trip was performing on the Japanese show “Hey! Hey! Hey!” though she took full advantage of her travels, sampling traditional cuisine and doing plenty of shopping.

ANIMAL RIGHTS GROUP PETA ATTACKED BRITNEY

OMG!!! When this week was well in it's track with the Circus album selling 504,507 copies and counting, then our poor pop princess Britney Spears gets attacked by the animal rights group PETA via their official blog because of her use of elephants in her new Circus music video. They claim that Britney says she's a victim of the paparazzi and complains of how she can't feel free, but then she would come and do the same thing with the elephants of her Circus music video.

"Now, at the bottom of the barrel, she's sporting elephants dressed in circus attire for her new video titled—what else—"Circus."

As Britney is such a victim of the paparazzi and always complaining and crying about how she hates to be held up in her guarded house and can't feel free, she of all people should be able to relate to the horror that captive animals go through when they're used for entertainment. Except Britney chooses to perform, and the lifestyle just comes with it. Animals are ripped away from their mothers at a young age, kept in chains, and prodded with electric shock devices to make them perform. That doesn't sound so voluntary to me."

BRITNEY SPEARS DOCUMENTARY-FOR THE RECORD

Well I just finished seen Britney Spears documentary-For the Record. Really think that it was great from beginning to end. It was able to show the people what Britney was going through and what she is going through right now. I don't know about you, but this documentary made me laugh like hell when she would become this complete goof-ball ( reminded me so much of myself), but then when she started crying I cried with her. Felt so bad for her when she mentioned that she feels alone sometimes with no one to talk to and also when she mentioned that she can't do normal things like going to the store with her kids or simply taking a walk through the street without having the paparazzi up her ass. This was confirmed by looking at this documentary. The way the paparazzi would all get together to hound her down. I understand that this is their job, but I for one wouldn't be able to handle her situation of having them on me all the time.

To cut this short, I really do want to say "Thank you Britney for all of your hard work. Keep up with your good work. Don't listen to what ignorant people might say. They don't know squat of what you really go through. Be very careful of the people that you trust and live your life as a karate kid" (just like you said).

REVIEWS-FOR THE RECORD

Well this is simply a mixture of reviews from Britney Fans.

• Fans had to wait in the line around 2 hours under the hot sun. Not allowed to have cell phones or cameras. Then were loaded into buses that reloaded twice but the people who got tickets that weren't allowed to get onto the last buss started to shake the bus. THIS IS NOT BRITNEY SPEARS FAULT!!!! It's a very horrible misunderstanding that 1iota gave the impression there was more space for more fans, even encouraged them to bring up to 3 more friends.Here's a video of someone who went through this.

• When the fans saw Britney, they thought she was very beautiful in person, her skin and hair looked beautiful. Not to forget that her body looked great. Other fans said that the Britney the once knew was finally BACK!!
  

• Damien from TRL was hosting and can't go wrong there because he's so nice and adorable. Britney's answers to his questions were very brief. She would smile a lot and simply be cute.

• At the end of the screening some fans felt sympathetic and sorry for Britney because it goes so deep into her life and it really shows her true emotions. For example she got to said that she can't do things that normal people could do because the paparazzi is always up her butt. Another fan said that she might not the most intelligent person in the world, but she can connect with you in the emotional level no matter what.

WAITING ON THE 'FOR THE RECORD' DOCUMENTARY

When "For the Record", a 90-minute documentary about the singer's return to the spotlight, produced by Britney in partnership with MTV, airs on Sunday, November 30, the world will know how it's like to be Britney Spears. The documentary shows the singer's life through her eyes — a mix of paparazzi flashes, dance rehearsals and photo shoots as she gears up to promote her new album, Circus, which comes out on December 2. The singer also talks about how the life she lives is normal for her, despite all of the craziness that goes around. It's all shes ever known. Therefore, this documentary will be very interesting to watch. Can't wait.

BIO OF BRITNEY UPTO 2008

I remember when I first heard Baby One More Time in early 1999 by Britney Spears. At that moment I knew that Britney would definitely be a pop hit. After that, I for instance did not know that she was a member of the Mickey Mouse Club when she was only 8 years old (Come on now people, admit that when you were young, you looked at the show also). Later on the video came, and what a scandal it was because she was dressed in a Catholic Schoolgirl Uniform, baring her midriff, which was a soon to become her trademark. Nonetheless, the single was a total hit worldwide.

She got to tour with the popular boy band NSync. Her album released around three months later that same year and took to the top of the album charts. Appealing to young girls, teenage boys and older men, Britney was on her way, yet nobody could have predicted at that time the impact she would have on Pop Culture. After that was hit after hit. My opinion is that this was the “Good Girl” type of an album.

Now comes the album that started to raise eyebrows, her second album Oops! I Did It Again
because people just weren’t happy with the message she was sending their impressionable young children. There was the performance she did in the MTV Music Awards in 2000 when her costume made her appear scantily-clad, sexually charged and provocative.

Yet she was labeled the Pop Princess around the world. Britney then continued to grow up fast in a relationship with NSync heartthrob Justin Timberlake. They looked so cute together, seemed like the perfect couple.

Then came the shocker!!!!!!! The sexually charged single I’m a Slave For You. This was a completely different turn in musical direction from her previous singles. Her performance of the single in the MTV VMA’s 2004 caused outrage among animal rights campaigners, as she performed wearing little herself and with a live giant snake (by the way, loved it cuz I have three of my own and they're my only "children").

This is when people would say "she started going downhill". Britney was increasingly letting her pop princess crown slip, admitting she had lost her sacred virginity to Timberlake, outside of marriage. Britney could also be seen smoking and drinking to excess on wild nights out and famously breaking down in tears while being interviewed by Diane Sawyer about her parents (who were recently divorced) and her bitter split from Timberlake. I know….I know, this was very sad but nevertheless it was the truth and we had to deal with it. Thennnn!!!!!!! Justin Timberlake came out with the single Cry Me a River. OMG!!!!! What a coincidence that the girl in the video looked and dressed just like Britney and song had to do with cheating. :o| Haven’t said anything. You should see for yourself.

Oh well….on to the next chapter of her life. Then came her performance of Like a Virgin in the MTV VMA’s in 2003 with Madonna and Christina Aguilera. There was where the famous kisssss took place between all three of them, but I don’t understand why they got only on Britney’s case if Madonna and Christina did the same thing.

Anyways…….then in 2004 she got MARRIED!!!!!!! Yes married to her childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas but later was annulled within 55 hours and was described as a joke gone too far. (Yeah Right!!!!! but it was funny anyways)

Nevertheless, she continued with her life. Later on she got together with Kevin Federline, got married in September 2004 had two kids with him. Britney now was a changed woman, no longer concerned with what the public thought of her or her appearance.

Know this is the part in Britney’s life where it reaaaally went down hill. In November of 2006 she filed for divorce. After her break-up, her personal life seemed to spin out of control. Within days, she was photographed without underwear and also arriving at various parties without her underwear. In 2007 she shaved her head with electric clippers at a tattoo shop. She made several attempts at rehabilitation. Then there was the very anticipated performance at the opening of the MTV VMA’s on September 17. Don't know about you but it left me speachless (and not in a good way)

Spears, who is trailed almost everywhere by paparazzi, has also became notorious for distracted driving and has been photographed driving with her son on her lap. The damage just continued to pile up for Britney. There was the drug and alcohol abuse that later caused her to loose custody of her children. She then had to take undergo random drug and alcohol test and meet weekly with a parenting coach who would later report back to the court about her parenting. Both her and Federline had to complete a Parenting Without Conflict class. Conflict between her and Federline grew thicker and thicker. Then we later find out that Britney might me suffering by long-standing psychological illness, possibly bipolar disorder. Meantime, Federline got sole physical and legal custody of the kids and Britney got her visitation rights suspended. Then one thing led to another, her father was named conservator of her person and he and attorney were conservators of her $100 million estate. Lutfi, who has been at Spears’ side throughout much of her well-documented public breakdown, was also ordered to stay away from the pop singer and stop harassing her.

After some progress, on May 6, 2008 she was granted increased visits with her two sons and this was to the progress that has she had made. Later that July, Spears and Federline reached a custody settlement in which Federline retained sole custody while Spears kept her visitation rights. Finally Spears returned to the MTV Video Music Awards on September 7. While she did not perform, she did pick up three trophies, including video of the year, best female and best pop video for Piece of Me. She thanked God, her children and her record label for each of her award wins.
