NEW BRITNEY ALBUM TO BE RELEASED LATE SPRING 2010

Britney Spears will release the follow-up to 2008’s Circus in late spring 2010, it has been confirmed. According to her record label Jive, the singer is working towards a May release for her seventh studio album. US songwriter Sean Garrett recently confirmed that he is penning material for the new record. The 27-year-old is also expected to team up with Max Martin, who wrote previous hits including ‘…Baby One More Time’, ’If U Seek Amy’ and current single ’3′.

Britney Spears headed up the road this morning from L.A. to the Bacara Resort & Spa just north of Santa Barbara where she’s shooting the video for her next single, the fabulously titled Radar. It’s a two day shoot that involves almost 100 people including dancers, the camera crew and security. Brit even brought her kids Preston and Jayden with her. Hot R&B sensation Keri Hilson has already written hits for The Pussycat Dolls - now she’s the top cat of the music scene. The sexy talent has also penned smashes for superstars like Justin Timberlake and Kanye West - but reckons the most dedicated artist she’s ever worked with is . . . Britney Spears.

In 2006, when Britney was seven months’ pregnant with her second son Jayden, Keri worked with her on the album Blackout - and couldn’t believe how much of a workaholic Britney was. “Britney was the size of a house,” Keri told Rated. “I don’t know if I could be as dedicated as she was. “Having to stand up for hours in her condition and sing? I never would have guessed how normal she is.”

Keri, who recently stormed the chart with her first single Return The Favour, reckons Brit loved working on her music because it was “an escape from everything else going on”. She explains: “She was catching so much hell from all corners, but she left it all outside the studio and came in ready to work.”

BRITNEY PLANS NEW EUROPE TOUR SETLIST

Britney Spears is reportedly planning to change the set list for her upcoming European live dates. The star, who kicks off her mini-residency at London's O2 arena on June 3, is expected to alter parts of 'The Circus: Starring Britney Spears' with new mixes and dance routines. Writing on Twitter, her manager confirmed: "Should be getting some dope remixes for the show today. Brits going to rework and choreograph a few numbers for Europe." Spears is rumoured to be considering performing her 2007 single 'Gimme More', which was not included in her North American shows. The tour, which has so far amassed a gross revenue of $50 million (£33 million), was recently extended to include dates in Ireland and continental Europe.

BRITNEY 'DEMANDS PRIVATE JET FOR UK TOUR'

Britney Spears has reportedly demanded that she be flown to Manchester in a private jet when she performs in Britain next month. The 'Womanizer' singer, who plays a mini-residency at London's O2 arena before doing a single night in Manchester, has refused to stay overnight in the northern city and will leave directly after the show.

"She has decided she will travel by private plane to Manchester - then fly straight back to London," a source told the Daily Star. Spears has reportedly detailed an extensive rider for her short stay in the country. "Britney may only be staying in the city for two weeks but she knows exactly what she wants," the source added.

Among the singer's demands are a room that has never been smoked in, fresh flowers that she will arrange herself, a variety of the latest magazines, DVDs featuring Marilyn Monroe and a selection of topical, chick-lit books. She has also requested horse riding and running sessions in Hyde Park and a different route to her venue each night to deter paparazzi from following her.

BRITNEY IS NOT READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP

Britney Spears is reportedly unable to commit to a relationship because she is still struggling to overcome her failed marriage with Kevin Federline. The singer, who is currently on her 'Circus' world tour, has allegedly laughed off constant speculation that she is looking for a serious boyfriend.

"[Britney] says it's going to take many, many more years to completely detox from being married to Kevin," a source told Heat. "She still says being Mrs Federline was the biggest mistake she's ever made." Speculation that Spears plans on marrying John Sundahl, who she has been linked with in the past, has been labeled "ridiculous".

"Britney doesn't want to do anything until the tour is over," the source added. "She wants press for her tour and not for an engagement. The idea that she'd actually want to marry someone is ridiculous." Spears releases her new single 'If U Seek Amy' on May 4.

BRITNEY BAFFLED BY MILLIONAIRE'S ENGAGEMENT CLAIMS

Britney Spears is baffled and bemused by a property millionaire's bizarre claims he's engaged to the pop superstar.

Just weeks after the supposedly-single singer was romantically linked with a dancer on her Circus comeback tour, 40-year-old land developer John Sundahl claims he has been dating Spears on and off since they met in rehab in 2007, and the pair is planning a spring (09) wedding in Germany.

The story originates from an interview Sundahl's personal pilot Lance Chase gave to the National Enquirer.

Chase told the tabloid, "Britney and John used to date, but they reconnected after her show in New Jersey, and now they're engaged.

He got down on one knee in a Subway sandwich shop in Santa Monica (California) a week ago and proposed with a $4.5 million (£3 million) marquise-cut diamond.

They plan on getting married at his aunt's farm in Germany in six weeks."

When approached by the New York Daily News to verify the story, Sundahl backed it up, saying, "Britney doesn't want to do anything until the tour is over. She wants press for her tour and not for an engagement."

But the wedding plans are news to Spears, who divorced second husband Kevin Federline in 2007.

Ridiculing Sundahl's claims, her representative tells the newspaper, "Britney is not engaged.

She did not get proposed to at Subway - she is currently on tour - she is not getting married on a farm in Germany.

Oh, and she has not been abducted by aliens."

The song doesn't even include the lyrics If U Seek Amy anymore, but they still have the nerve to call it "If U Seek Amy"!!!! Is that ridiculous or what??!!?? If your going to edit it that way and basically kill the song, why the hell are you even playing it. Now that I come to think of it....why didn't Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" song didn't receive the same treatment. This really puts you to think. Check it out for yourself.

In December, fans chose the controversial track as the song she should chose for her next single in a poll on the site, with “Amy” winning 26 percent of the vote. Many parents are up in arms over the song’s chorus, “All of the girls and all of the boys are looking to… If you seek Amy,” which could be heard as “F*** me.” “I was astonished and totally taken aback when I heard my 5 and 7-year-old kids walking around the house singing ‘F-U—K,” one parent has complained, according to Rolling Stone. “When I asked them what it was, they told me it was Britney Spears. I was horrified.”

Britney now has the highest debuting song of her career thanks to the #3 bow of "Circus" on The Billboard Hot 100. This latest single wrests the title form Spears first chart entry "...Baby One More Time", which opened at #17 the week of Nov. 21, 1998. Those doing the math have already figured out that with “Circus” in town, Spears’ chart span expands to 10 years and one month.

In its first week on the tally, “Circus” is tied with the 2007 hit “Gimme More” as the second-highest charting title of Spears’ career. The only singles to peak higher are the above-mentioned “…Baby One More Time” and the current “Womanizer,” which both spent time at the summit. “Womanizer” dips 9-10 this week, giving Spears two simultaneous top 10 singles for the first time. The pop princess revealed the track list and art from her forthcoming sixth studio album on Friday, due for release on Britney's birthday, December 2. Britney looks absolutely beautiful on the cover. The highly anticipated "Circus" will feature her No. 1 hit "Womanizer" as well as eleven more songs, plus a bonus track, "Radar" (a reissue from her last album).
